Vegueta and Triana

Shopping in Las Palmas is very interesting. The fashion is very colourful, and different than in Australia. Shoes come always with matching handbag. The Triana is the main street in the old town. I like  that they left the old buildings it makes it a  very charming street. Gucci, Zara,you name it, the money is spent very quickly.

Roque Nublo

Spring is a marvellous time to explore the inner of the Island. From Las Palmas we drove north-west and quickly left the city behind us. The roads were windy and narrow, The first town we stopped was Valleseco. From here i had a beautiful view to Las Palmas

Next stop was Cruz de Tejeda 1450 meter high. From here  the view was spectacular,On one side to Mt Teide the Island Tenerife, and the  Roque Nublo with its shape like a finger. The scenery was spectacular, with all the flowers in bloom.

We drove all the way around the bottom of Roque Nublo to the southern side, and reached the town San Bartholome De Tirajana.










Here the rocks are bare and it is dry. From here we cuold see all the way to Maspalomas on the coast, and the town Santa Lucia
