Tortilla español

This is my first recipe about a typically Spanish dish.
Here the tortilla can be eaten in many ways. In a bocadillo ( sandwich ) for dinner accompanied with other dishes.

Ingridients for a typical Spansh Tortilla
Eggs
Patatos,
capsicum red or green
(jamon cerrano) or traditional ham,
Onions
( this tortilla has mushrooms as well but it is not traditional )
Olive Oil, salt
Step by step cooking the tortilla

·first saute the onions and capsicums just covered with olive oil on a very slow heat for about 30 minutes. stirring occasionally.

In the meantime peel patatos, and cut in to small cubes, deep fry them untill crunchy


In a large bowl beat the eggs (the amount depends on the ingredient's )  I used 4 to 5 eggs.


Add the cooked patatos, drain the excess olive oil from the onions add to the patatos. Cut the ham add to the mixture.










Heat just enough Olive Oil in a non sticking pan. Add the mixture and shake it from time to time so its not sticking. cooking time depends how much you like the eggs cooked. 


Cover the pan with this plastic plate, it has a handle  easy to hold, turn the pan over. Ones the tortilla is on the plate, slide it back to the pan and cook it to your desire.
